We understand the dynamics of auto, disability and workplace insurance. We work directly with providers to access cost-effective and result-oriented treatment programs. We also provide objective and detailed Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and case management for more complex conditions as needed.
Our team of multidisciplinary healthcare providers are knowledgeable and experienced in the treatment of patients who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) or workplace environment. We treat patients suffering from minor injuries to catastrophic cases, acquired brain injuries and other intricate injuries. This enables them to easily access medical improvement and once again enjoy their activities of daily living tasks and work duties.
We work as a team to achieve the best results for our patients- maintaining clear and precise communication with adjusters, completing outcome reports, performing objective assessments and providing case management. Whether you have been in a car accident, had a work injury, injured yourself at home or while playing sports there are several various coverage options available to you.
Some of our services may be covered by government funding sources, such as; automobile insurance, extended healthcare plans, and workers’ compensation. Our clinics are happy to assist you in determining which coverage options you may qualify for.
Extended Healthcare Benefits Coverage (EHC)
Most of our services and programs are fully or partially covered by extended healthcare plans if you have one. We will guide you to understand how to access your coverage as it relates to your injury or condition and help you process the documentation and reports required by the insurance company.
Inquire with your Employer or HR Department if you have a benefits package, what it entails and understand how the plan is coordinated. You may also contact us for further assistance. It is essential to know if you require a Doctor’s referral in order to access the specified service you will need, as this is necessary to be reimbursed correctly in the future with your treatment plan. It is important to know if your plan has a prepaid option, percentage discount or full coverage at no initial cost for you.
<h4″>Motor Vehicle Accident Coverage (MVA)
If your injury or condition was caused by a motor vehicle accident (MVA), the assessment and treatment services are covered by both your extended health plan benefits and by your automobile insurance carrier. Our helpful administrative staff and therapists will ensure we access the right funding sources relating to your injury and treatment.
Any services not covered by your extended health plan will be covered by your automobile insurance carrier provided all required paperwork and approvals have been submitted and obtained. If you do not have extended health coverage, service fees will be sent directly to your auto insurance carrier for payment.
Worker’s Compensation Coverage (WSIB)
If your injury or condition occurred at your workplace while performing your duties, you may be eligible for coverage through your provincial Worker’s Compensation Board for rehabilitation services. While our amazing therapists work with you on your recovery, our friendly knowledgeable staff will help you navigate through the claims process, documentation, and reporting requirements. We will communicate and coordinate with all parties involved in managing your workplace injury.
It is encouraged to contact WSIB to know exactly what will be required by yourself alongside your employer, so you may understand the process of what will be involved with your claim.
Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
If you are eligible or you are accessing the Ontario Disability Support Program, you may qualify for healthcare services or products. Every individual’s coverages are different, so you should contact your caseworker directly to find out what’s covered.
Our clinic will also contact the ODSP office to ensure you have coverage before providing any treatments or products. To process that request, we will need your member ID, full name, and health card number. The caseworker will then advise whether the services/products are covered.
Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)
The Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) pays for your medical services for a short period of time after you arrive in Canada. IFHP is for resettled refugees, protected persons, refugee claimants, and victims of human trafficking. People detained by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) are also covered.
The coverage is paid for by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). To learn more about IFHP, visit the Government of Canada’s website. To determine your eligibility coverage for some of our services, please contact our office to speak with one of our compassionate staff members to assist you further with your process.
