Psychological Assessments

To identify the mental health issues you’re facing, we can provide comprehensive psychological assessments. We often provide assessments for work-related injuries, car accidents, driving anxiety, personality changes, learning challenges, and career transitions.

Once we perform an assessment, we can provide a detailed psychological report along with recommendations on how to treat the issues.

Couples and Family Counselling

In addition to individual counselling, we can offer mental health programs to help couples and families. Our couples counselling can help you overcome a range of relationship issues. That includes difficulties with intimacy, parenting, communication, finances, and anger management.

FAQ's

Several factors greatly determine the length of your stay in a mental hospital. You can stay a day or two, 2-3weeks or longer. Your pre-existing condition, the type of treatment you are under, and how you respond to the treatment will determine your length of stay.

You can go to the ER for mental health when you can no longer cope with your mental illness symptoms. The same is true when the signs of mental illness are overwhelming to you and your family. When you feel really sad, have hallucinations, have suicidal thoughts, or want to hurt other people, you should visit the ER.

There are many types of therapy available. Three of the more common methods used in depression treatment include cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.

To diagnose a mental health problem, doctors conduct a psychological evaluation. They will look at your experiences, how long you’ve been experiencing these things, and the impact it’s having on your life. However, groupings of certain feelings, behaviours, and physical symptoms may suggest different diagnoses. Doctors may also conduct a physical exam and lab tests to try to rule out physical problems that could cause your symptoms.

Interpersonal therapy or also known as IPT is a method of treating depression. IPT is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on you and your relationships with other people. It’s based on the idea that personal relationships are at the center of psychological problems.
